Gadag
The first phase PLF training with gender as the core subject was held at Girija Shankar hostel, Gadag on 16th June to 19th June 2017.. The programme was inauguarated by the well known writer and activist Ms.Hema Pattanasetti. Akkamahadevi, K.H, Jayashree Hiremtt, Merlyn Martis, Thukarama Ekkaru, Divya Jogi, Fakkiramma Lakkundi, Gulabi Bilimale, the representatives from various NGOs and members of Gadag Districtrict Trainers Sanchalana unit were present. 32 women and 4 men were participated During the training, sessions on gender,socialisation, patriarchy, child marriage, domestic violence were conducted. Melyn Martis, Renuka,Prabhavati betageri were the resource persons. Kwaja Husen, Jairunbe Aswini,Rekha, Renuka Chabbi assisted the training. Fakkiramma Lkkundi compered the programme.
It is evident from the heart felt words of the facilitators that they face every day in their own house holds in handling gender discrimination. Many have vowed to change their perspective regarding male and female children.

Koppala
At koppala training was held on 14th July to 17 July 2017. The training was inaugurated by Shridevi Gaddinakeri, Director, Department of Women and Child Development. The activist Ms.Savithri Mazumdara was the chief guest of the programme., Merlyn Martis, Mohanchandra from Mangalore, Harish Jogi of UNICEF, Lawyer Hanumanta Rao were on the stage. Divya Jogi, Thukarama Ekkaru , Fakkiramma Lakkundi ,various NGO representatives and Gulabi Bilimale were present.
Merlyn Martis, Farida Begum, Renuka, Prabhavati Betageri, Harish Jogi were the resource persons.Viresh Alagundi, Basamma, Ashwini assisted the training. Divya Jogi compered the programme. 20 women and 12 men were present.
